Why Vitals and a Medical History Happen Before Every Session — Every Time
If you've visited us more than once, you've probably noticed we ask the same questions and check your vitals at every single visit — even if you were just in last week. That's intentional, and it's worth explaining why we never treat it as a formality to rush through.
Your Body Isn't the Same Every Day
Blood pressure, heart rate, and how you're feeling can shift meaningfully from one week to the next — from stress, sleep, illness, medication changes, or things you might not think to mention unprompted. A quick vitals check and a few questions catch things that could change what's appropriate for that specific visit, even for a guest we've seen dozens of times.
It's a Safety Check, Not Just a Formality
Since iV therapy involves introducing fluid and nutrients directly into your bloodstream, our providers want a current, accurate picture before starting — not one from your last visit. This is standard practice in any legitimate medical setting, and we hold ourselves to that standard regardless of how routine a visit feels.
What This Looks Like at Replenish
Before every session:
Vital signs are checked
A brief medical history and current health status are reviewed
Any new medications, symptoms, or concerns are discussed with your provider
This typically takes just a few minutes, and it happens whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth.
Why This Matters to Us
It would be easy to treat repeat guests as "low-risk" and speed through this step. We don't, because the whole point of having Emergency Medicine-trained providers on staff is that they're equipped to catch the thing that doesn't fit the pattern — and that only works if the check happens every time, without exception.
