Most guests never see what happens before their iV bag arrives in the treatment room. That's by design — a calm, spa-like visit isn't the place for lab equipment. But what happens behind the scenes is arguably the most important part of your entire visit, and it's worth pulling back the curtain on.
What Is an ISO-5 Mixing Hood?
ISO classifications rate how clean the air is in a controlled environment, based on how many particles of a given size are allowed per cubic meter of air. ISO-5 is a cleanroom-grade standard — the same level of air cleanliness used in hospital pharmacies and sterile pharmaceutical compounding. It's a laminar flow hood that continuously filters air and maintains a sterile field, so that nothing airborne — dust, bacteria, other contaminants — can settle into an open vial or syringe while it's being prepared.
Every nutrient compound you receive at Replenish is mixed inside one of these hoods, using sterile, single-use supplies, every time. No exceptions.
Why This Matters More Than It Might Seem
iV therapy involves introducing fluid and nutrients directly into your bloodstream. Unlike something you swallow, there's no digestive system standing between what's in the bag and your circulation — which means the preparation environment has to be held to a much higher standard than, say, mixing a protein shake.
Compounding in open air, even in a clean-looking room, isn't the same as compounding in a certified sterile field. An ISO-5 hood isn't about optics — it's an engineering control that actively removes the ordinary background contamination that exists in any indoor space, so that what goes into your formula is exactly what's supposed to be in it and nothing else.
